History.

1950: The creation of the Protestant hospital, a dispensary with a grass roof. The Hospital has his opening authorization by the Ministry of Health under this number: N0 51/A/MSAP/DSP/SDFS/BFSP of June 21, 1974.

1958-1960: the construction of the actual central building with its in patients rooms of operating room, internal medicine, private rooms, pediatrics, through the donation of a rich man named IRVING Young an American. The building was dedicated by the Cameroonian Prime Minister M. DJOUNGOU Foncham at that time.

1973-1974: The Hospital extension by the new construction of the new building, like the actual dispensary, the maternity, the chapel, the tuberculosis ward and the Nurses housing (the actuel housing for the aid nurses).

24th of October 1975: the grand opening of its new buildings under the presence of the chiefs of Garoua-Boula?, Betaré-Oya and Meiganga Distrits and the Provincial delegates of Public Health.

1989-1990: Building of the Nurses homes and for the Medical Doctor with the funds rising by the Lutheran World Federation(LWF). Actually the Garoua-Boula? Protestant Hospital disposes a capacity of 110 beds.
